VWA has extensive experience valuing museum collections. Most notably, we valued the entire contents of the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) in connection with the City of Detroit’s bankruptcy proceedings. This encyclopedic collection comprises over 60,000 works of art; our appraisal drew upon the expertise of a diverse team, including serveral former museum curatorial employees.
