An Accredited Member of the Appraisers Association of America, Shaun Cooper has over twenty years of experience working in fine and decorative arts. He has bought and sold works privately and at public auction and participated in international art fairs. For several years he ran a New York gallery specializing in twentieth-century decorative arts. For VWA, Mr. Cooper is integrally involved in appraisals of large collections for estates, foundations, and insurance clients and has been active in appraisal-related arbitration matters and litigation.
Mr. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University, a Master of Arts degree from L’Université Libre de Bruxelles, and a certificate in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts from New York University.
